I'm not sure how far the restaurant Wagamama extends its branches across the world, but the Chicken Katsu Curry on their menu is definitely the most popular option. I am almost sure it is because the dish consists of deep fried chicken with a creamy sauce and rice. It is a guilty pleasure, but I wanted to try a healthier version which is honestly not too difficult to achieve. I found a kit in one of my local Waitrose stores that, for a selected time, had the sauce and breadcrumbs which you need to coat the chicken. I bought my own rice and chicken breast strips and made my own version of Chicken Katsu Curry for my mum and I. There are plenty of recipes online to make the Katsu sauce and if you want to be even healthier you can use brown rice as well.
