You wouldn't always associate burgers with luxury dining; yet The Park Tower Hotel in the affluent Knightsbridge has proved otherwise. This winter, they've introduced the 'Hyde Collection.' Welcome handcrafted, independently designed burgers paired with premium whiskey for an extraordinary dining experience. 

With a definite streak of French flair spearheading this menu, Chef Pascal has left his mark through a selection of personal touches to the menu. Choose from seven burgers, each with a suggested whisky to compliment the meat. In an interview with the Executive Chef and Bar Team, the Hyde Bar explained how the whiskies were chosen in accordance with the delicacy and headiness or the meat.

The more delicate meats such as the seafood present in 'The Red and Black Surf & Turf' (£21) (below) forms an alliance with the citrus flavours found in Glenmorangie 10 year old single malt whisky. The Berkshire venison, double quail egg, cranberry slaw and wild seeds bun titled 'The Wilderness' (£21) requires a more full-bodied whisky such as a Dalmore 15 year old single malt.

The Red and Black Surf and Turf (£21) Tiger prawn, chicken, cuttlefish, ink tapioca, aïoli mayo, red bun - suggested to pair with a Glenmorangie 10 year single malt whisky (£10)

The meat, in essence, was their primary motivation and naturally reigns during this gastronomic season where game meats in particular take centre stage.

With many of the Hotel's signature dishes infiltrating into the menu at The Hyde Bar, guests can find that Chef Pascal Proyart's seafood-inspired finesse has glided its way across the hotel from the Park Tower's One-O-One restaurant, regarded as one of London's finest seafood restaurants.

The Périgourdine - an extremely indulgent layering based upon the Rossini, a classic French steak dish. This creation connects a trio of steak, typically filet mignon, crowned with duck foie gras and garnished with slices on black truffle. With Pascal's 'Périgourdine', a burger dedicated to gastronomy of the South-West region of France in Périgord, you can savour the flavours of Angus beef, duck foie gras, armagnac mayo and a potato black truffle bun.

Vegetarians fear not, you're not left out out luxury. The Caprese (£18) (above) feature polenta, tomato, aubergine, mozzerella, basil, rocket, focaccia suggested to pair with a Dalwhinnie 15 year old single malt whisky (£14).

Overall, The Park Tower offers a superb collection of burgers dressed to impress with a whisky of choice or one of the bedazzling and soothing seasonal cocktails. December welcomes a more iconic, festive addition to their menu so be sure to keep your eyes (and stomach!) peeled.
